Slide 12/13

This figure shows the change in the absorption due to the PpIX in the tissue. Time before zero just represents the time before the ALA is applied to the tissue. The ALA was then applied at time zero and then the tissue converting the ALA to PpIX is measured by changes in absorption at 635 nm. The tissue measured for this data was an excised sarcoid. The bulk of the sarcoid was removed but some sarcoid tissue was left behind with the normal tissue. We believe the range of absorption values is due to the heterogeneity of the tissue.
