Absorption
This is a graph of the molar extinction coefficient of
Hematin dissolved in acetic acid.
It was measured by Junzhong Li on 12/11/97
[H. Du, R. A. Fuh, J. Li,
A. Corkan, J. S. Lindsey, "PhotochemCAD: A computer-aided design and
research tool in photochemistry," Photochemistry and
Photobiology, 68, 141-142, 1998]. Hematin has a molar
extinction coefficient of 85,000 M-1cm-1
at 386 nm [J. Keilin, "Reactions of free haematins and haeomoproteins with nitric oxide and certain other substances.," Biochem. J., 59, 571-579, 1955].
No fluorescence was observed in acetic acid.
